Will “Titanic” ever lose its berth as the biggest movie of all time? “The Dark Knight” is racing up the ranks, but the Batman sequel will stall at No. 2 with about $510 million to $520 million, Warner Bros. Pictures predicts. That’s far from the $601 million haul of “Titanic,” which set sail in December 1997. (Adjusted for inflation, both movies are dwarfed by the $1.4 billion haul for 1939’s “Gone with the Wind”).

The latest cards bring to three the number dual-chip cards released by AMD; the first was the HD 3870 X2. Advanced Micro Devices on Tuesday introduced a dual-processor graphics card for gamers that the company claims is capable of more than 2 trillion operations a second. Along with the ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2, AMD unveiled the slower HD 4850 X2. Both cards, which slip into a PCIe slot on the PC’s motherboard, comprise two HD 4800 series GPUs.

After the Chinese womens gymnastics team won its first ever Olympic gold medal on Wednesday, its diminutive gymnasts celebrated on the arena floor, hopping and hugging and mugging for the cameras. The team final had come down to the United States and China and was close until the final two rotations, when the Chinese team pulled away in front of an excited and packed crowd. In those rounds, the Americans made several notable mistakes, including two falls by the team leader Alicia Sacramone that paved the way for China.

Best Buy Co. said Wednesday that it will begin selling the 3G iPhone from Apple Inc. next month — making it the first retailer to carry the popular wireless device. In a statement before the opening bell, Best Buy said it will begin to carry the 3G iPhone in its stores on Sept. 7. This will be the first time since last month’s launch of the device that it will be available outside of Apple and AT&T (T:, , ) stores.
