Target flexes Wii Fit for Memorial Day
Target Corp. advertised Nintendo Co.’s Wii Fit in its Sun. circular leading into Memorial Day. The retailer features Wii Fit in the electronics section of its weekly ad next to the top seller Mario Kart Wii. The fitness product has held a sold out status at brick and mortar and online retailers due to high demand. Additionally, Wii Fit has made nationwide headlines for introducing fitness to video games by promoting accessible activities for all ages.
The $89.99 Wii Fit includes the new Wii Balance Board, a peripheral is designed to sense both weight and shifts in movement and balance.The device connects wirelessly to Wii to facilitate more than 40 exercise activities, including yoga, aerobics, strength training and balance.
Wii Fit this week sold out all major online retailers, including Best Buy Co. Inc., Circuit City Stores Inc., and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Amazon.com on Sat. restocked Wii Fit for weekend shoppers who quickly snapped up all available units.
